Real Geeks Review: Elizabeth La Riva from the Compass Group

As a native of Lima, Peru, at first glance, you'd think Elizabeth would feel like a fish out of water so far from home. But things couldn't be further from the truth.

At just 19 years old, enamored by the nature of Hawaii, Elizabeth decided not to take her return flight and instead start a new life on the island.

"I was homeless, I had no money… I didn't even have a GED!" she recalls.

But what she did have was $264 in her pocket and incredible people skills. She bought a car for $200, sold it for $1200 on the same day, and realized she'd found her calling.

From there, her transition from cars to properties was a seamless one.


Starting From Scratch

As a brand new agent who wasn't originally from Hawaii, Elizabeth's main challenge when starting out was, unsurprisingly, finding clients. What she needed was a system to help her do exactly that.

"I did a lot of research and I found that many companies were trying to reinvent the wheel," she notes.
