As the digital age has taken over and the way we do business has changed, the importance of lead follow-up and conversion has become increasingly critical for real estate agents and teams. After working with hundreds of top teams and thousands of agents across the country, one common denominator has emerged: time blocking is the key to converting online leads.

Time blocking simply means dedicating a consistent amount of time every day to follow up on leads. This could be anything from 9 am to 11 am or 5 pm to 7 pm. What is important is that this time slot is carved out and added to your calendar, with all distractions removed, so that you can focus solely on calling all the leads in your database.

When it comes to lead categorization, "hot" leads should be called daily, "warm" leads once a week, and "long-term" leads once a month. This check-in call serves to remind them of your presence and how you can help when the time is right. Even leads that are not initially interested should still be contacted every quarter to see if there has been any change in their circumstances.

To ensure accountability, it is helpful to have a partner or someone on your team who can time block with you and keep each other accountable to stay consistent. This could be a fellow agent in the office or a trusted colleague who can serve as a reminder to stay on track.

It is crucial to have a systematic, organized approach to lead follow-up, including sending regular emails, text messages and updating the lead status in your CRM. Agents who call leads sporadically or don't call them at all will not see any results, so consistency is key.

In order to be successful, it is necessary to block out regular time slots on your calendar. If you haven't already done so, it is essential to do this right away to be successful in your real estate business. Time blocking and calling is time well spent and will only benefit you in the long run.

If you need more leads to call during your time blocking, Real Geeks offers a full-service lead generation program to get you started. Time is a valuable resource and should not be wasted. If you want to find more time, you must make it. So take the time to time block and make the most of your time in real estate.
